A bit of History

Thomas Multimedia is a web software firm based on the Gold Coast, Australia, and was founded by owner Steve Thomas in 2005.

After 5 years in business, Thomas Multimedia has established a reputation for delivering cutting edge web software and solutions for businesses in Australia and around the world.

Meet the Team

Steve Thomas

Steve is the founder of Thomas Multimedia, and has been fascinated with computers (and later the internet) as far back as 1991 - as a 7 year old playing games on the first family computer. By the late 1990s this fascination had grown into a passion for digital design, and later website creation and eventually web software programming.

After completing formal study in the field, Thomas Multimedia was founded in 2005.

Steve has a particular fondness for creating software that helps ordinary people use the internet to make their work lives easier.

"One of the most exciting and challenging aspects of being in web development is that I get to see how traditional brick & mortar businesses operate. My challenge and my passion is to find solutions to make those businesses more efficient by harnessing the power of the internet - and the possibilities are truly endless."

Open Query

Open Query is a collective of database experts located around the world. Thomas Multimedia works extensively with Open Query to deliver lightning fast application performance, rock solid enterprise server infrastructure, and to help out with the high end technical problems encountered from time to time.

Growth Marketing

Thomas Multimedia collaborates with Growth Marketing on matters of... you guessed it, marketing! They specialise in high performance Google Adwords campaigns and search engine optimisation.

Industry Memberships

The IT Forum Gold Coast is an industry body which represents Gold Coast based IT businesses, and provides educational workshops for its members. Thomas Multimedia's membership of the IT Forum also binds us to their Ethical Conduct Standards.

Accountability

We don't promise to be the cheapest, the fastest or the be all end all solution for you.

We do promise that we know our stuff, and have transparent accounting and progress tracking through our Studiotime project tracking software, as well as honesty and accountability in everything we do.

Smarter Communication

So much time is wasted in inefficient communication. Have you finished this task yet? Has this item been shipped yet? We are interested in breaking down these inefficiencies and letting people find out for themselves, by building self help tools into all of our software.

Release Early, Release Often

We like to get the ball rolling on projects quickly.

Create a holding page for a product this week. Get the product to the end users as early as possible – do not overdevelop a product before testing its viability. Build in iterations based on popular feedback.

Sure it takes a while to build great systems, but you know what they say about the Best Laid Plans. It's better to get something working sooner rather than later, and build from that point forwards.

Work Smarter, Not Harder

Life is not all about work, so it pays to be organised and free up time for other pursuits. Using the automation of web software is a pretty good way to meet that goal.
